oil pan removal ford aerostar

Hey all,

I have a 1993 for aerostar with the 3liter v6 engine...I am currently in the process of removing my oil pan. All of the bolts on the pan itself are undone, the starter is out but I cant get it to slide out. It is stuck between the plate...Has anyone evre done this job before? What do I need to do to take out the pan?

I think you have to drop the front cross member. It won't slide out because it will hit the strainer/pickup

or undo the mounts and jack up the motor.

if it's like all ford I have saw, and worked with, you'll have to undo the oil pump pick-up tube, like gregster said AND unbolt the motor mount and jack the engine up to be able to get all this out.
