What can be transplanted into my Sentra?

My friend and I have a 1988 Sentra wagon 4WD that we use for rally racing. Our first rally with this car was last week end, the car performed very well but we would like to get a little more power from it if we can. Can any of the newer 16V engines be transplanted into it? Actually...anything will do as long as it has more juice than the current 1.6 8V.

Thing is, none of those will bolt up to your tranny.
But they all come in AWD format.

If you can find an SR16VE with a 5 spd AWD Tranny
you should be able to get that to hook up to your car.

I think research would be necessary though, allot of it.
