hey,
I just got speeding ticket from NY state on Dec 31 on my way back to montreal.
was driving 85 on 65, but police said that I have to sign the ticket and send
to police place or whatever to get my charging amount.

However, I am currently have probationary licence and I already had
5 points and suspended for 3 month.(few month ago :(

If i get another 3 points which is equivalent points to Quebec law,
do i get suspend for 3 month again?
or do I need to get 4 points or more to get suspend again?

Also, I get my regular licence on coming June, and is there any way to
delay until June so I can just pay only for fines?

Finally, can i avoid above things by just ignore ticket? lol

Hi,

Demerit points in NY count on your Qc license. To know how many points you would lose, we must calculate the speed (20 mph over the limit) as if it had occured here in Quebec. This means you would lose 3 points here (32 km/h over the limit).

Points usually take a very long time after the trial to get to your Qc driver's license (I was told about 1 year). If you want to be sure, you can probably get the hearing postponed. Send me a PM if you need help.
