I just came back from the dealer!
U guys will never guess what was the problem
it took them 2h30 to figer it out!

computer related??? bad coil? cloged fuel filter?

It was just a tach problem
soo when i was at 4500 rpm i was really at 6800rpm
soo i was redlining basically all the time!
which cant be good
it took the guys 2h30 to figer out
but they charge me Only for 1 houre
BRAVO TO BMW JALBERT!!!

Ya but usually it cant be almost 2000 rpm off
mk1 didnt notice either!

the guys said hes never seen that before!

soo i dont know what i will do!
im sure somebody could do it cheaper!

Im sorry 318, but that seems like a bull$hit story to me! I think the dealership is giving you the run around! I drove that car, and it didnt feel like it was revving all the way. Id like to check that for myself. Anyone got a digital timing gun?

Get a timing gun that displays RPM, that way you get the reading right from the source! Im telling you man, the dealership is screwing with you!
