RB26DETT--->4WD into RWD?

I just read this article in Turbo Magazine, ( http://www.turbomagazine.com/features/0701_turp_infiniti_g35_coupe/car_specs.html )

It talks about a guy who swapped an RB26 into is G35, I know you can use the rb25det transmission to make an rb26 into rwd, but it says in the article that they used the standard 5-speed and just dumped the transfer case/front axles to make it rwd. How is this possible? wouldn't you have some kind of big hole in the side of the tranny? I know it can be done in a gt-r by unplugging the attessa....Why don't people who swap RB26's in the S chassis just go this route instead of spending 1400$ or so on a rb25det tranny ?

there is a guy on another forum who did a rb26 swap in his old bmw, and he kept the rb26 tranny, he just removed the transfer case internals, cut the tranny where was the transfer case and bolted a blocking plate

pis pq pas garder la tranny gtr dans une s chassis c plus de fitting plus lourd et de gossage mais c fessable et bulet proof .

OK merci les gars, mais je pensais que les internes de la tranny rb25det/rb26dett/z32 étaient pareils de même que les ratios?

bin j`ai vue un gars prendre des sincro de sa gtr pour la mettre dans sa tranny de rb25det ... c au state jme rappel pus c dans quel forum par exemple ... y disais que tout les interne etaient interchangable .

pourquoi pas juste enlever la fuse d'ABS !?

simplement pcq y rend le char RWD et que ya pas de place pour garder la tranny 4WD , donc y prend celle du RB25det ou celle du rb26 mais y coupe tout la section transfert casse de la tranny pis y met un block plate ...

ya aucun raport avec une fuse!!!
