Hi,

On top of the tank it says: "COOLANT ANT" Liquide refrigerant ?
Also, what is this used for ?

I would like to know if the level is low and does it need to be refilled.
Also, if that's the case, where and how do I do that. Can I do it my self ?

Car Info:
Model: Nissan Altima 2003 2.5S @ 100,110 km

Here are the pictures of the part in the car:

when your car is cold your level of coolant is supose to be low ... when your engine is hot ... the coolant is supose to be higher ... check your level when it`s cold and it should be a the line (min)

if is`t not at the line (min) ... you just need to had collant ... 50%coolant/50%wate

Hi, thanks for the answer.

So does that mean that I m loosing some coolant ?

Tomorrow morning, i ll add some and i ll see if there's any change.

thank you

your leak could be a external or internal .

external :check your rad and hoses ... and collant reservoir
internal : head gasket , crack in the block(but it`s very rare)

Hi,

Today I have added some Coolant. I have rolled for about 50 km and I have parked my car for 5 hours on nice clean white snow.

Now, I just checked, and I m just in between the lines: MAX & MIN. I guess this is a good signed. The level was checked 5 hours after the 50 km drive.

On the snow, there was no coolant leaking that i could see. No yellow liquid.

Also, can you please tell me where are the rad hoses so I can check it out.
If possible, can you please take some pictures.

Thanks a lot

you know where your rad is ... there is supose to have a inlet and outlet ... you should see it just in front of the motor ... should have 2 big hoses around 1 inch diameter

also note that your heater uses prestone/coolant to heat the cabin so when you open up the heater it will use some prestone and lower the overflow canister

Hi all,

Well, i didn t see any loosening on the wires. The level has stabilized it self... Don't really know why or how the level was under the MIN level.
