2002 C32 AMG? Reliability? Ideas?

I have been presented with the opportunity of laying my hands on a beautiful 2002 C32 AMG. Has anyone had any experiences with this specific model? I know W203's are generally a bitch with regards to reliability but maybe an AMG model is better built...

If you like 3000$ brake jobs go for it. Seriously it's even more expensive on maintenance than a regular W203...My boss had one and it's reliable but a bitch on maintenance.

I heard they have some issue with the tranny. A lot of guys had to rebuilt the tranny (10 000$ job). Look at the MB forums fo rmore info on this.

If you have a extended warrantly it could be a good choice otherwise be carefull.

It has the extended warranty as M_1313 mentioned above and all the "common problems" have been fixed... it's reliable and warrantied.

He's REALLY ready to cut a deal too... if you're thinking of picking up a C32... contact me, this is the deal to jump on.
