longer brake lines bad ?

Is it bad to use longer-than-OEM brake lines (even if they're SS braided) ? I personnally think it would decrease performance but I could be wrong...

using the least amount of flexible brake hose is best for a firmer pedal. depending on the expansion rate of your ss lines longer may not be bad as long as tehy don;t expand more than your stock ones. length doesn;t really matter but the expanding properties of the hose. a hose can be shorter but expand too much and vice versa.:bigup:

Brake fluid is incompressible so it only depends on the expansion, like he says.

Exactkly, you will just need more brake fluid to fill the extra space. Once its filled, there is no difference.
