Throttle body/injection system cleaning

My truck is at the garage for an oil change and tires and bearing changes and whatnot and the guy just called me and told me I needed to clean the throttle body and injection system.

I remember they use to do this at Canadian Tire and I always assumed it was bullshit.

Is it? Does it do anything?
 
Si ton camion c'est un 98 et que sa n'a jamais été fait, c'est sûr que c'est une bonne idée mais, demande au gars en quoi consiste son nettoyage d'injecteurs et du papillon parce que c'est les techniques sont différentes partout. Selon moi, c'est une bonne idée.

COmment faire puffé un moteur qui allait ben: Seafoam...


Nettoyer l'intake et le throtle body, une can de Carb Cleaner chez canadien tire, tu peux le faire en place mais idéalement tu démenche le throtle body pis tu le rince toute avec sa et nettoi les passe a vaccum dedans.
 
its bullshit. i bet they didnt even take the intake piping off to look inside the throttle body. and as for the injectors, they'd have to do a peak and hold test on them to see if they're all in the same range. which they obviously did not do.

Injecteur, Throtle Body, Intake manifold : après un bon nombre de kilomètres, ça s'encrasse!! C'est bon de les nettoyer.

Mais c'est rien de compliquer, si tu le fais toi même tu vas sauver! Habituellement, ils chargent cher pour le temps et la "difficulté" que c'est...
