Could someone tell me what mods you have
to do to fit a 99 GSR cluster in a 90 crxsi
dash??any help would be apreciated..

it would probably a lot easier to get and install
88-91 Crx SIR cluster instead??
And if so does anyone know where to find one??

Japan motors, Osaka Japonaise...try places like that. They bring in pieces from Japan and sell them. Don't know whether they have exactly what you want, but it would be worth a try.

i know they probably have a 88-91 CR-X sir cluster
osaka has all sorts of weird things from japan around..
so does Chassel..
but still would like to know if anyone has done the gsr cluster
in a cr-x??

If your car already has a twin cam motor
its worth the expense of cluster and install.
The thing is, your stock cluster has the speed
sensor built in , if you put GSR cluster , you will
loose your speedometer.
GSR cluster has the speed sensor on the transmision
then the signal is transmitted simultaniously to the ECU
and speedometer.
So what im saying is a GSR cluster must have an
electronic speed sensor on the transmission.
If your still confused , just call me @(514) 595-5394
I have a cluster.....($200.00). The instalation , depends
on your setup , in your car.

ask for rob @ LAMINAR

how much to install motor?and if i have my own axles, throttle cable, and new clutch.i have parts just need install.

I have already answered you in another
post. If you want the original GSR transmission
with hydraulic clutch, add $300.00 to price of
install. Total is $1500.00.
With this trans the fit is not as neat!
I usually use Jap spec B16A trans,
with 4.4 final drive
