I agree with Altima, they look great and have good features coupled with high voltage outputs but have very low signal to noise ratio (80-90 db) and don't have a 24bit DAC. For the price of that HU you could find something similar from another company with better SQ, try Pionner or JVC's Digifine series.

How about this one?

Yeah and that one IS good but also a good $800 man!!! It looks pretty cool though. I saw it at futur shop, pretty fancy dancy

hey man
I just went through the EXACT same thing....

I was lookinginto mp3 players because i download albums like mad and lots of dj mix tapes which are continues...

Then I ran into the famour problem of LOAD TIME!! I never tryed out Rockford but i was really into the pionners..found 1 DEH 7200 i think.with the dolphines..had a 5 second load time which sucked...the sweet one you post for 800$ is the same shit.. a little faster but still not worth it...

Then i found the new Kenwood series and it has a 1 second load time..
the load time is no joke, just like winamp..very fast...only 2 pre outs but that doesn't bother me...

Ill very happy with it and would recommend it..i have the one that retails for 400$ and has a multi color screen that changes 67 colors...

also
the kenwood doesn't have any crazy options like the pioneers but unless your going hardcore into stereo..go with kenwood..and the new radios come satellite radio ready!
