Hey guys!

I need to build a machine for my work. The computer will be used 99% for photoshop.

I need a large amount of ram, the casing needs to accept at least 4HDD + system SSD. I already have HDD's and Bluray writer and maybe video card if my Nvidia GeForce 9600GT fits??

a friend recommended these items:

Case:
Thermaltake Level 10 GT Black E-ATX Modular Tower Case 4X5.25 1X3.5 5X3.5INT

Processor:
Intel Core i7 3820 Quad Core 10MB 3.6GHZ Hyperthreading LGA2011 Processor No HSF

MB:
ASUS P9X79 Pro ATX LGA2011 X79 DDR3 4PCI-E16 2PCI-E SATA3 USB3.0 SLI CrossFireX Audio Motherboard

RAM (x2):

Kingston HyperX Beast Series 16GB 4X4GB Kits DDR3-2400 CL11 DIMM XMP Memory

SSD:
Kingston HyperX 3K 240GB 2.5in SATA3 SandForce SF-2281 SSD Drive READ:555MB/S WRITE:510MB/S

PS:

Thermaltake TRX-650M 650W ATX12V 2.3 24PIN Modular Power Supply Active PFC

Comes up to about 1350$

Any better options you think?

Sorry man, i dont know much about computers its my friend who recommended me this mobo/cpu combo..

If you can give me a cheaper alternative it would be greatly appreciated.

I just need a mobo that can take very fast ram and lots of it.

I'd go with 8 GB DIMMs instead of 4 GB DIMMs. Most boards have 4 memory slots, 4*4 is only 16 GB, for a serious photoshop user more RAM is better ;)

On the mobo i posted i can't put 32GB of ram with the ram i chose also?

sorry i'm a real noob!

No 64GB is not overkill for me. I often work on over 50GB of files + many programs opened..

So I ordered this:

Thermaltake Level 10 GT Black E-ATX Modular Tower Case 4X5.25 1X3.5 5X3.5INT No PS Fr *IR-$20*

Good choices. RAM speed does not make much difference in real world usage. DDR1600 vs 2400 may give 1-2% more speed in a synthetic benchmark. More RAM is always better.

I would not have gone with an OCZ SSD though.

Actually i made a mistake in my billing info so it didnt go through yet.

Do you have any suggestions for an SSD? Could be 500gb preferably if its around 300$..

Seriously stick with a Hyper X 3k ... thats what i have its blazing speed fast ... If not you can go for the Vertex 4 More expensive a bit faster ;)
