Hi guys, friend of mine's hard drive failed on his 5yr old hp pavilion dv2700 laptop and I am trying to buy him a new one on newegg ... the hdd that failed is an old seagate sata st9200827AS found here : http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148312.
The problem seems to be the connector on the actual HDD that looks like this :
Now if I want to buy this one here : http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148599 will it fit ? (notice the connector is different (no pins) compared to the current one).
I tried looking everywhere and they all seem to be like this ... if not is the laptop to old and the connecter is now obsolete ?
Thank you,
Matt
