In before "Cool story brah"!!!
The SSD in my Mac Mini died over the weekend after 4-5 years. (The Mini is older... 2007 I think)
My Mac Mini is on 24/7 and it's always doing something. It's my media server and my torrent box.
Anyway, replaced the SSD with a WD Caviar Black 7200rpm HDD I had in a box somewhere.
Reinstalled OSX 10.6 using the Time Machine backup.
And voila! I'm right back where I was this weekend. Didn't have to reinstall any apps or even login into any of the websites I use. I started Transmission right back up and started seeding again within seconds.
It's like it never happened... except the HDD is much slower then the SSD. ROFL
God bless Time Machine!
