Cpu hot after new gpu install normal ?

Hi guys so i installed my r9 280x and my cpu reaches 83 degrees when playing bf4.... I find this kind of high for my i5 2500 cpu (stock clocks).

I tried applying artic silver thermal paste but that didnt change much !

Right now i have the stock heatsink on my cpu and one fan pushing air out at the back of the case.

Will it change anything if i add a fan at the front of the case to push ambient air in or should i change the stock hsf for an aftermarket one like a hyper 212 evo ?

ouais de changer le heatsink devrait t'aider, soit un tower comme tu considères ou si tu as la place les ptits systèmes watercooled all in one sont bien aussi
 
More airflow is always nice, and yeah the hyper 212 (evo or the other one) is dirt cheap and a huge step up from the stock heatsink.
 
Can i install that beast with the mobo in the case ???

si ta boîte a une ouverture de l'autre côté pour ça t'es pas obligé mais

1) y'a pas nécéssairement une tonne de boîtes avec cette option là
2) le trou est pas nécéssairement à la bonne place

conclusion: tu vas devoir effectivement sortir la mobo de d'là

That would make sense wouldnt it?

His video card is pretty powerful and the heat that it cant push out rises and goes to the cpu heatsink.

There is nothing worse you can do to a pc than keep the stock intel cooler. The cheapest aftermarket coolers, such as this one, will decrease heat and noise dramatically. Buy it if youre not comfortable with the 212 installation. This clips just like the stock intel heatsink.

I don't see any other explanation to it .... I have a 600w psu and gpu recos say 500w and im on stock clocks on everything.

Gpu must give out more heat and is a bit bigger too so might interfere with the air circulation in the case also.

Je px enlever mes deux side panel et jai facilement acces au 4 trou pour mounter mon hsf intel ... Je devrais donc pas avoir de trouble non ?

Moi j'ai installer mon hyper evo après avoir fait tout mon setup et à cause de l'ouverture en arrière je n'ai pas été obligé d'enlever la mobo...par contre c'étais très tight donc si tu n'as pas les bons outils, ou que tu n'es pas très très délicat et patient, jte dirais de prendre ton temps et de toute sortir.

Même avec une nouvelle carte vidéo qui push plus d'air chaud dans le case.. 83C pour un i5 sur clock/fan stock il y a quelque chose d'anormale. Es-tu sure que ton heatsink est bien installé?
 
Jai reinstaller mon heatsink deux fois .... Je deteste les fucking pushpin type ... Jai peser fucking fort et jai regarder derriere la mobo ... Les 4 pins sont clairement bien setter !

Jai faite 20 min de prime95 et ca pas monter en haut de 65 degree .... Gpu idle donc aucune chaleur du gpu ... Je crois que cela confirme que mon cpu est ok et que mon gpu est la cause

Fait attention car le Hyper Evo 212 est assez gros, long plutot. Assure toi que sa va rentrer dans ton case. J'en est un neuf et il est encore dans sa boite dans le garde-robe. Je n'avais pas pris la peine de mesuré la distance entre le mobo et le panneau de l'autre coté.
