Is someone know if 45mm Webber Carburator can be roll every day in the "WINTER"????

a weber 45 dcoe side draft carb is a great carb, when properly set up its as good as fuel injection. yes i used mine on my car (austin mini cooper) everyday for 2 years!!!

Depends what winter is going to be. If we get days like today then -20 the next, it won't be optomized for sure. It'll run for sure though. Hell, what did we do before FI? Store our cars in the winter? Hells no!

Does it have to be re-adjust every time yoou take your car and the weather haved change???Or is the setting, one time done, just stay that way?

Sorry I'm not to good of a mecanic!

PS: TURBO323, Do you know a guy named "Doc"???
a VW specialist!

sorry dude no doc here. if you want to talk to a real webber specialist. go to CAMO tuning and speak to BEN, he's been working with webbers for a long time.

Weber are very tricky to fine tune but yes they will work even during the winter. Turn on the choke crank the starter one or two times and everything would be fine. But without choke don't even think about it. I'm with T323 on that one go see people at Camo.

you don't really even need the choke, the Webber pas a built in gas pump, just pump the gas and bap bap bap bap your car rumbles to life!!!

I have NO experience with carbs, but from what Ive been told Webbers arent the easiest carbs to tune, but they are the best. As far as starting it in the winter, the carb setup that most people install on their cars nowdays arent exactly like the setups that came from the factory. Theres no warm air intake, and most dont have a choke. Like I said I have no experience with carbs, but Ive been told that trying to start a Webber performance carb in the cold is pretty difficult. just me repeating other peoples $0.02! :)

What would you do...I have a chance on one, should do it or is it headacke for all winter long!???
Keep in mind that this will be my everyday driver!

Message in!!!Wont do it!...;-(, It's a shame...nice little rabbit with Webber...another time...
What about a Audi Quattro Turbo 5000 1988???
Got any int on that one?

yeah, its probably got a cracked exhasut manifold, "ticka ticka ticka", and if its quattro it probably need al new diff/engine mounts. I personally love the engine, but the 5000 is not my favourite car. Now, if you could find an Audi 4000 quattro and drop that engine in, Id probably have to beat you up and steal yer car!:)

No bros...I've seen the car tonight...It's in pretty good shape!!! Almost no noise...It's a special edition for the Calgary Olympic back in 1988!!!All leather in good shape...a little leak from the power steering and from the valve gasket...That's not to bad for a 1988!What do you think?
