If you’re an automotive enthusiast, 2014 was one of the best years Montreal has seen in sometime. The events were numerous and successful with many new productions and new players in the scene.
Some highlights included the unveiling of the homegrown Felino CB-7 at the Montreal International Autoshow, the wildly successful Paul Walker memorial Ride, the introduction of Formula Drift into Canada and the revival after 25 years of Autorama at the Olympic Stadium.
There were many highs but there were also some lows. The SAAQ sent ixed signals with its web page “banning” hellaflush sending the scene into a collective freakout even though no actual new regulations were introduced. MontrealRacing’s Cars and Coffee meets were unsuccessful and were terminated after only two events. Driftmania only held one event in Montreal and seems to be on the decline.
Here is a montage of photos which give a good recap of the automotive year. We have high hopes for 2015!
