Bonjour, le chien d'une amie a besoin d'une chirurgie TPLO. Ça vaut plus de 4000$ et elle n'a pas les moyens de rendre à son chien la qualité de vie qu'elle mérite. Donc elle essaie d'avoir de l'aide.

You shouldn't have a pet if you can't afford to take care of it, just like you would take care of a child. either your friend takes out a loan, the dog lives with a gimpy leg, or you put down the animal. doing a go fund me because you are irresponsible is ludicrous. I don't mean to be harsh here, but asking strangers to fund a dog's surgery is bullshit. Everyone knows big dogs get leg/hip problems when they get older. Waiting until your dog is at that age and begging for money is not a responsible way to take care of a pet. Your friend shouldn't be rewarded for her stupidity.
 
pas pour être sans cœur, mais même pour mon propre chien je ne payerais pas 4000$ pour une chirurgie, je payerais la piqûre.

c'est triste mais c'est la vie.

p.s. je lui souhaite tout de même bonne chance dans ses démarches.

exactly. Most people won't drop that kind of money on their own dogs surgery let alone someone else's.

Understandable point of views.
People give money for so much stupidities nowadays, a buck won't ruin anybody but would still help.

Problem is that also these surgeries are not guaranteed. My 12 year old rottweiler was in the same position. Needed a hip replacement, I took the choice of putting him to sleep. He had 12 good years and once the vet said there was no guarantee, I gave him a hug and a kiss and put him to sleep. Good luck with your quest to raise the money.

Vets here scam BIG time ... Overcharge for everything !

Bring the dog to mexico they will do it for $500 max !
 
My friend did the same type of surgery for his lab/rott mix. 4 months after the surgery his other leg had the same problem, another 4500$. So what then, you are going to come here and crowdfund a second surgery?

Don't buy pets if you can't afford to feed/maintain them. People are starving in the world and need food and we are supposed to rally around a strangers dog?

La fille demande un peu d'aide. Ceux qui veulent l'aider sont le bienvenu. Sinon y'a rien là... effectivement elle va probablement devoir faire un emprunt au final pour palier au manque.

Ça lui coûtait rien d'essayer un fund raiser, so why the hell not ?

Bien évidemment que je me doutais avoir un peu de réprimandes sur le pourquoi du comment.

Bin franchement je ne peux que vous remercier de l'attention que vous y portez, peu importe la nature de vos commentaires ou impressions.

Ça l'aide déjà beaucoup et elle est très touchée de voir le mouvement "fonctionner" un minimum. Elle aime son chien évidemment...

The thing that really bothers me about crowd funding is that when the total is ammassed the crowdfund isn't closed. That arabic lady with the car problem a little while ago, they crowd funded for 10k for a car or something and it went to 120k$ So instead of helping people out, it gets absurd. Same thing for the irresponsible family in toronto who allowed their kid to leave the house in -40 wheather and he died. They pretty much murdered their son, yet they wound up with 200k in crown funding for his funeral expenses. So kill your kid, crowd fund the funeral and become rich. It's bullshit.
