Picked up an E55 a few months back. Wanted to get back into a big power German sedan.
I've always wanted one of these since the day they came out back in '03.. in Silver of course.
Car is spec'd as follows:
Brilliant Silver Metallic
Black interior
Panoramic Roof
AirMatic Suspension
Current Mod List:
EuroCharged Tune
C63 Mufflers
Resonator Delete
Lowering Links
6% Lamin-X Headlight tint
Front Lip
Avant Garde M590's
19x8.5 Front || 19x9.5 Rear
The Build.....
Day I picked her up:
Within 2 hours came the debadge. Much cleaner look.
Only had time to do the rear... Got around to debadging the front fenders a few days later.
Was having trouble putting the power to the ground with the 275's out back.
Sourced a set of 285's and roasted the sh** out of the 275's that were on there....
I hated the hood emblem that the car came with.
Bought the flat emblem and installed:
Was bored one night and spent some money on the Lamin-X website
Install was pretty straight forward, with minor trimming involved. They turned out Purple looking and I wasn't too pleased with the look at first. After a bit of reading, you have to wait a good week for the adhesive to settle... and they change color.
Before:
After:
The exhaust on the driver's side was sagging.. bothered me from day 1. Went to see Raymond at Federal and he hooked me up:
Before:
After:
The car came with lowering links and I was satisfied with the front ride height, but the rear was too high.
Went into the shop and dumped the rear:
Was washing the car one day when I notice a paint chip between rear fender and bumper.
Sanded it down and applied some paint.
Buddy snapped some rollers on the way home one day...
The wheels the car came with HAD TO GO. I like the 5 spoke look on a sedan... but the two tone color scheme wasn't doing it for me.
Picked up a set of Avant Garde M590's
19x8.5 Front ET 35
19x9.5 Rear ET 40
Was in Toronto so I drove up to EuroCharged and got a remap.
Stage 1 Performance Tune... +40whp / +50wtq
What I like about EuroCharged are their free re-tunes. Say I upgrade the pulley next month, they re-tune the ECU for free since I already have their performance software. Love that.
