Any full time traders on MR?

I was laughed at for calling it years ago. Bought at $1200USD an ounce.

The way things are shaping up, the world may go back to a zero trust state and gold/silver offer that in spades. If/when that happen, hold on to your hats, you might have a repeat of gold in the 70's, but no guarantee.

Sprott is where you want to be (PHYS.to) if you want to be in paper gold easy to trade but the real play is actual physical gold you keep because there seems to be a lot of IOU's floating around and you don't want to be left without a chair if the music stops.
whats your thoughts on CGL.C? Problem with physical gold is storing it, even in a safety deposit box feels iffy to me.

Personally I don't care for BlackRock, so by extension I wouldn't go for their shares but that's just me.

To be fully transparent, I don't actually own PHYS, but that's because I've gone all in PSLV which is the Sprott silver trust. While gold is the safe bet, silver can be an absolute powder keg if it finally catches a break. Right now the silver to gold ratio is at 90:1 where for most of recorded history it's been in the range of 1:1 and 20:1 to gold. Modern day ratio that's realistic is more 40:1. Also, silver is still 50% to it's all time high and unless we find a substitute, we're using it up faster than we're mining it. So I'm just sitting tight, waiting for something to happen.

In my non professional opinion, the party hasn't even started yet, but if shit really hits the fan in the financial markets, the annoyance of real physical metals might be worthwhile.
Or you can think of it this way, are you really diversified if you have every single sector, but all your investments are stuck behind a computer screen?

I understand physical is not for everyone but it shouldn't be outright dismissed as an impossibility.

Oh well.

Oh well, any profit is good profit qu'ils disent.

Pas toucher a mon portefeuille US aujourd'hui.

À suivre...

What do you think about CEF.to ? Its got both Sprott Gold and Silver combined which is interesting. I was planning on getting in on both PHYS and PSLV but just found out about CEF

If you're just trying to get exposure, it's probably better. Downside is it's their ratio gold/silver. Buying PHYS and PSLV you can create your own balance if you prefer one over the other. Again, I'm not a financial adviser, these are just my personal opinions that I'm sharing.

Also a word of warning, they will likely go down initially if shit hits the fan. Want a replay of this, just look at Gold/Silver prices in 2020. Pandemic hit, markets tanked and so did precious metals at end of March 2020. This dynamic is because most of the big market movers use PM's as a hedge. When all their other bets go south, they need to cover their losses with something stable like gold, which in turn causes prices to also go down. It recovered and then some by Summer 2020 which is what you're really in it for. I wouldn't try timing the market, just pointing this out to those new to the space who might freak out why it's going "down" and not acting like a hedge in the initial stage(s).

Hahahaha j'aime ce gars là

I come from a place that if the bully gives you a black eye, you don't punch back, you burn down his house

Sacrament! Hahahah I fucking love it
