hi guys i need some help now. i've been trying to fix my over heating problem but it seems to not want to go away!!! i've changed the thermostat, i have an aluminum rad. which is alot bigger then the stock one. i bought the block at the end of last year. i have head studs on it plus a new head gasket when i changed the block. could my water pump be fucked??? i have never heard of this happening before on a somewhat new block. (20xxxkm) i've read some stuff ppl say to change my rad with the stock one? could this be possible? any help would be greatly appreciate.

thanks

Is your coolant system topped off and properly bled?
Do your fans turn on?
Do you have any leaks? Internal or external?
Does your turbo have coolant passages or only oil?
Is you head gasket good?
Is you block/head straight?

yes colant system is topped off and bled properly.
my fan is on when i turn the key over. so on all the time
its a B20 so a small leak of oil....normal
turbo is just straight oil no coolant
heah gasket is new and my head is straight.......

What brand is your ''aluminium rad''?

Did you change the headgasket yourself? If not go back where you had it changed.

You could check for bubbles in your coolant system for some headgasket failure symptoms.

Could be a waterpump issue, but it's less likely to happen on an almost new block... unless there is a major defect in the pump itself.

The fan is on all the time but are you sure it's pushing/pulling air in the right direction? Is it wire correctly?

Starter starting the motor in the wrong direction so your water pump is too? hueheuhue XD seriously tho, when you find out i wanna know what it was please, good luck!

do your rad cap hold pressure.

do a pressure test on the cap AND the whole system, you could have a small leak that isn't visible without pressure and that is preventing the system from pressurizing itself when hot.

is your radiator hot evenly across it's surface or is there some spot that is colder

i changed the rad last night. back to a stock one with a stock fan as well. drove down to the jdm meet and everything seems to be running a lot better now. i think the rad was just SHIT!!! plus the slim fan wasnt pushing enough. never would of thought that the stock fan pushes more. i know that its really hot out now a days and running a turbo car doesnt help. i found it weird to be overheating some how on me when im not even pushing the car. if anything happens after this ill be back with more questions!!!!

thanks for all the advice and help guys
