Best budget 23-24" monitors

if you're not in rush, dell's ips panels are often on sale and 23" goes for $229 free shipping, it's $50 over your budget, but it doesn't compare to cheap nt panels from acer let's say.

You are talking about the ultrasharp from dell, Yeah it's 250$ on special now, but no hdmi? U2311H is the model i believe. I don't even know if I'll bother using hdmi.

I buy more and more often from Amazon.ca, low prices and usually FREE shipping ;) The last monitor I bought there is a Samsung, 24", got in 2 years ago for under $300, still works like a charm!

23.6" Viewsonic @ $194 http://www.amazon.ca/gp/redirect.ht...is-20&linkCode=ur2&camp=15121&creative=330641

24" BENQ @ $180 http://www.amazon.ca/gp/redirect.ht...is-20&linkCode=ur2&camp=15121&creative=330641

23.6" ASUS @ $180 http://www.amazon.ca/gp/redirect.ht...is-20&linkCode=ur2&camp=15121&creative=330641

Dvi to HDMI converter can do the trick, will work without any issues. and no loss in quality of image...

what I dislike about the 2370 is the external power supply, if you don't mind that and the price is right I'd go for it. But it terms of quality, both are good. LED will have a better uniform backlighting of course.

Ok about 5$ more that your budget but good enough (sometime they are at 160/170$, actually 2 weeks ago it was 159.99)
I have bough about 10 of those and never had a problem.

VGA/DVI/HDMI (no speaker but headphone jack for sound out at worst).

The Ultrasharp are indeed great but not in your budget.

I still have my old ips (ultrasharp) dell 4:3 19" and the image is crisper and clearer that on 90 of budget lcd's after 5 years. My Father have an 16:10 ISP 22" as he is using it for solidworks and it's like a charm. Read a little bit about differences in nt and isp technologies. Dell uses e-isp on their monitors (entry level) but if you spend a lot of time on the computer I would say an big Yes for an isp. Dell or another brand. All the photo editing is done on those panels anyway.

PS what for you need hdmi for the pc monitor ?

well the 2370 looks out of my budget, how much inferior is the picture quality on the 2320?
