Hi, I was removing my exhausts manifolds to change the gaskets and I decided tu change all the exhaust manifold studs, I succesfully removed 11 out of 12. The problem is the stud in the picture, we heated it (propylen) and we've been able to unscrew about two turns until the stud came stuck and a part of the bolt broke.

Is there any other options excluding drilling and using the blowtorches (which I don't have)

The car is in front of my house, so it won't go anywere, i'm broke and I don't want to pay for a towing.

Help me please!

You may be lucky and a "damaged bolt remover" hammerd on will work.

If not a Bolt Extractor is a second option but does require some drilling but no need to helicoil or retap the head

thanks tennis for the advices, about the ''damaged bolt remover'' we used it without success....I may try the bolt extractor tomorrow!

If you have a welder handy You can weld on a nut on the end and use the appropriate wrench to remove it, a small mapp and oxy torch may also work in brazing on a nut and removing it with a wrench

works like a charm every time.. just give a good tap on the head/top of the bolt with a hammer first
