Looking to find a codriver for the FrankenJetta which is coming up from Vermont for the June 9th Economy Run.

Opportunity for the ride of a lifetime??? Apparently this car is currently in the top ten for fuel efficiency on EcoModder. PM me if interested. ;)

Bump! What's gonna be the better story to tell about Saturday: "I was at GP and then on Crescent with everyone else doing the same thing we do every year" or "OMG, I don't know how this car got across the border to compete, but what a wild ride we had trying to hypermile across 198km of twisty Lanaudiere roads!!!".

PM if interested. On Friday evening you can meet Ken who put this car together as we'll be out with the other international entries grabbing drinks and checking out the downtown displays. ;)

thats gonna one painfull 198 km with no power steering lol (i'm assuming he got rid of it for better fuel economy)

Apparently he's done the last 50,000 miles without power steering. And he certainly has beefy arms to show for it! Chertsey Road should provide a good workout though. ;)

And, here's the boattailed FrankenJetta after the last hilly sections, body work still intact! Can't say the same about the front pizza-pan hub caps though, they're somewhere in the bowels of Lanaudiere.

It made it to the finish intact too!

5.36L/100km on the very challenging 198km circuit. 43% better than EPA. All the info here.
