But somehow it is, even if I agree not 100% similar, as manufacturers ask you to not pass 80-90% charge. Why do that ? To preserve battery life , no and last longer ? I'm sure EV batteries are made to last longer...but user can help that , 100%. So instead of ...wtv 10 years...it will last 12-14 . I might exaggerate...but LIB is LIB
Going to 100% is fine if you are using it right away or within a short period. Need to avoid 0-100% cycling. Also 100% indicated is usually around 90-92% SOC BMS, Much like 0% will be 5-6% SOC
BMS. 100% will also balance out the cells when needed

Degradation is vastly exaggerated and people worry too much about charging.

ID7 was never coming here. It would have been too expensive

Also ID Buzz is a niche product. Its a decent package but also expensive in Europe

Currently in Fort Lauderdale with a Mach E

Honestly one of the biggest fuckups by a car company in recent memory was Porsche abandoning ICE models and planning on switching to EV only on the majority of their models so quickly. All of this will be thrown out of the window. Also, watch governments reverse or delay their EV mandates around the world in the next few years.

^^^ it depends.....stop making ICE vehicles and making affordable electric ones is smart!

Mind you....if people are buying a Porsche, not like their counting pennies....supposed to anyways hahaha

Because they will get fined into oblivion in EU. They are already bleeding cash. Some of the posts here are hilarious. People living in a bubble. Peak gas car sales in canada was 2017/18. EU was about the same.

Arguing about Porsche is pointless. We need affordable models like MG4 etc. Some people around here I just ignore

Not that I like to argue online anymore, but do you not think this is about incentives and hype? I’m betting EV adoption growth will stall in the next few years when incentives disappear. I also note the swing back to more right-leaning governments worldwide, which could mean pushing EV targets back or eliminating full EV transition mandates in favor of a split between ICE/ZEV in the long term.

I’d be curious to know whether you actually think that 100% of new cars sold in the western world will be EVs in the near future? Because I don’t think that this will happen in our lifetime.

All I can say is that it’s sad that US politics filtre into Canada when our policy is closer to that of EU. We won’t see 100% pure BEV what we will see are more range extender EVs. Guess what country is leading the way in that as well..

The thought process needs a rethink. We should be focusing on removing older polluting cars/trucks on the road and funding public transit like crazy.

Ou Plug-In Hybrid...si ca va exister encore.

Ça te donne quoi de pouvoir faire 500km dans le day to day?
