Video Demolition derby': 92-year-old loses control in parking lot

How cant he face any charges??? Wreckless driving??

- Old man: "But officer I was dazed and confused..."
- Police officer: "Ohhh ok, you're free to go then."

Anything older than 70 years old should have to go re-pass their driving tests. Its so fucking dangerous having these senile old people behind the wheel of cars. Things changed since they got their license back in the 1960's.

I like how hes driving a shit can Pacifica then smashes into a bunch of other shit cans before taking out the C-Max which was the only decent car there along with the F-150

I'm not sure a full driving exam for permit holders over 70 is the answer but perhaps an adjustment to the medical evaluation rules to determine the capabilities of the individual might be a good idea every two years.

I wrote about this today for MR:

Time To Start Testing Older Drivers? Elderly Man Year-Old Crashes Into Nine Cars (Video)

After news broke yesterday of a 92-year old man conducting his own personal demolition derby in a Wisconsin grocery store parking lot (watch the video below), many members are asking if the SAAQ should begin testing older drivers above a certain age to assess their capabilities.

According to the Wisconsin DMV, most senior drivers in the state who renew their license in person will be asked to undergo a basic vision test. They may also be required to submit a medical examination to determine if they have medical conditions which could make driving unsafe.

In Quebec there is no obligation for older drivers to pass driving exams however all permit holders above 75 years old receive a letter asking them to submit to a medical exam. Their physical condition and eyesight are then tested. The SAAQ does have the ability to restrict a person’s driving permissions given the results of the test.

According to the SAAQ, drivers aged 16-24 hold 10% of all permits but are implicated in 23% of accidents involving injury or death. People aged 75 and older hold 9% of permits and are implicated in 8% of accidents involving injury or death.

The Institute of Advanced Motorists in England says that implementing a driving exam for people aged 70 and over would be a bureaucratic nightmare with no improvement in road safety.

Given the aging baby-boomer population, it might be wise to at least revisit the medical exam rule and adjust to fit the changing needs of the population.

Driving is a privilege not a right. Maybe after 70 they should re pass a test once a year. Since money is an issue when your older and on a pension , I'm thinking the test would be 50$ and if you pass it ,,its deducted off your your license?

Here is the baffling part. If that was me or you we would have been brought into the station, blood drawn and maybe would have spent the night in jail

The first big accident I was involved in was caused by an old man. He never saw the stop sign and plowed right into me at 50km/h. He never stopped until after my car had spun around . He admitted that he never saw me, we exchanged info and parted ways. When I finally called my insurance I found out that he had already called and blamed me for running the stop sign. I spent a month and a half fighting with my insurance but they never believed me, probably because of my age(I was 17) and only payed half the value of my car. What would of happened if someone was crossing the road?

You should of made him sign a paper saying it was his fault + called the cops. This is the best way .... otherwise, its talk vs talk
