Video Demolition derby': 92-year-old loses control in parking lot

Vous êtes vraiment ignorants, la saaq demande déjà des examens médical à partir de 75 ans. Si vous faites tester nos vieux sur la route aux 2 ans je veux le même traitement pour les jeunes de moins de 25 ans, les femmes et les chinois.

Merci.

According to the SAAQ, drivers aged 16-24 hold 10% of all permits but are implicated in 23% of accidents involving injury or death. People aged 75 and older hold 9% of permits and are implicated in 8% of accidents involving injury or death.

I freaking hate these fact twisting SOBs.

Let me first start off with an anecdote.

Three guests check into a hotel room. The clerk says the bill is $30, so each guest pays $10. Later the clerk realizes the bill should only be $25. To rectify this, he gives the bellhop $5 to return to the guests. On the way to the room, the bellhop realizes that he cannot divide the money equally. As the guests didn't know the total of the revised bill, the bellhop decides to just give each guest $1 and keep $2 as a tip for himself. Each guest got $1 back: so now each guest only paid $9; bringing the total paid to $27. The bellhop has $2. And $27 + $2 = $29 so, if the guests originally handed over $30, what happened to the remaining $1?

The reality is at $25 each guest pays $8.33 not 9 dollars. While each side of the story (equation) make sense by itself, you cannot combine the two because you get false logic.

Now the same applies IMO to driving statistics (or any statistics for that matter where somebody gains from proving something). To say that teens are 10% of the total drivers abut account for 23% of injuries and deaths is pure BS just like the above missing dollar.

I bet you anything if you put it on an even scale, accidents / km traveled, old farts would probably account for a much more significant portion because teens are racking up 10's of thousands of kms while the old person might do 2000km/year.

But yet study after study we vilify young males drivers by twisting the facts and when one guy crashes at 200kph, TVA can't shovel their BS fast enough to feed all the brainless matantes who gobble it up.

Last point, in this case since nobody was injured or died, this type of smash up derby would not show up in the above "8% of accidents". Yet another sleight of hands.
