Telemetry with a XBOX One gamepad, so it give you a better idea what to expect in the handling in comparison to other games.

One member asked if you can stall with the clutch? Yes, you will stall if you brake while jumping.

Yup. Happens to me sometimes.

I just did some good runs ending in first place after 4 stages in Wales on Masters level. Unfortunately my ShadowPlay screwed up and no video. I was looking forward to reviewing them. Some sweet hairpins and pendulum turns a la MrDeap

I don't play much with front wheel drive car, so I don't know. I'll probably favor more the Peugeot as rev much higher like a pure NA car.

Is there a way so video don't embed automatically??**EDIT

20th on the leaderboard run with the Evo X using the default setup.

Renault 5 Turbo gameplay with telemetry, again on the default setup.

I reduced my steering rotation to 360 as I can't turn the wheel fast enough. I noticed through several testing that I tend to turn much wider than the car can turn in. I use a G25 & the gearing mechanic of the wheel is not suited to play DiRT rally in high rotation. That explain why I'm so damn low now in the game leaderboard as of right now since I was crippled by my wheel setup.

I know what to do in high rotation, but it would destroy my wheel in such freak way that I prefer not to do it(you have to turn(not countersteer) like freaking fast). All my new video will include the telemetry. I can adjust the display rotation of the wheel if you want to see how it look like. The car aren't twitchy enough & you get a misjudgment of how fast you should turn in in DiRT Rally & this explain why some player are like near 30sec ahead in a sprint, because most people just plain drive wrong.

Apparently the sweetspot is 270 to 400 degrees, but this may be old info. I personally play with 420 degrees so it turns 30 + 180 + 180 + 30 if you understand what I mean.

I don't like 360 because it's 180 + 180 and I find it awkward. I like it to turn a little bit more before I hit the lock.

My best performance at Master's level. Was 9.5 seconds in the lead at one point... and then a disastrous final sector.

Don't be that guy Codemaster! pls!

It's not so bad, I tried a daily after stopping playing it for a whole month. Still waiting for them to fix the GFX bug.

Haha! I think I was 31 seconds behind you on this one. Never driven the Cosworth before, so I had no idea what to expect and how it would handle. I think I had a really bad start, and then got used to it as I went on. I'll see if I got video of my run.
EDIT:
I do have video, but it's embarrassing!

I never really shared my run with the Clutch & H-Shifter. I still stall often & screw up the shift. Although I'm getting there.
6:16.118 Global Leaderboard 38th

EDIT:
Here a quick tip some may not know...

I had the spiking pedal issue with my G25. So my potentiometer was acting funny & often add little acceleration even while turning. It basically made the car understeer slightly due to the nature of the transaxle(differential integrated in the gearbox) work..

I suppose adding a bit of a deadzone on the accelerator for steering wheel users can improve the turn in speed by correcting the driving style. It can reduce the tendency of understeering at the most crucial time due to the nature of how the physic work in the game.

When racing it's pretty much on/off so it shouldn't affect much the pace

The best way to adjust the deadzone on the accelerator is to rest you foot & make sure it stay at 0% when simply touching it. It's not the game fault, but if you have a very used pedal, the spring is very soft on the slightest touch so it may add very little throttle input unwillingly & make the car understeer even before you corner.

Excellent time! I find it hard to be consistent for more than about 5 minutes on the longer runs, but getting better all the time. I seem to recall that you used the manual sequential transmission on your earlier videos. Since the telemtry is showing the clutch being depressed, is it because you are using the H-shifter+ clutch now, or does it just show the clutch being pressed every gear shift with the paddles?
