but i mean like slower, chiller type of jazz
not kenny g shit playing his 'sssssexy saxamaphone' or anything
TIA *tu*

The only Jazz matazz album worth bying is the first one.

as for Jazz, well, Miles Davis is the king no doubt about that. Best album IMO is Kind of blue *tu*

Keith Jarret is a excellent pianist

Stan Getz with Astrud and Jao Gilberto (parents of Bebel gilberto) is sweet music to hear.

Dave Brubeck is also a classic, the best album is Time Out. The tune 'Take five' was redone by St-Germain in Rose Rouge off the album Tourist

John Coltrane, Dizzy Gillespie - imho be bop was the golden age of horns in jazz. I prefer trios and combos, check out Vince Guaraldi, Oscar Peterson.

Dave Brubeck - Take Five (5/4 time signature makes this really special)

And lately I've been really into Bob James. He wrote A LOT of music in the 70s and had a period where he played a Fender Rhodes (electric piano). If you like that 70's New York sound, you'll LOVE Bob James. He wrote the theme for the TV series "Taxi".

For Bob James, check out these :

1. Feel Like Making Love 1974
2. Nautilus 1974
3. Farandole 1974
4. Westchester Lady 1976
5. Storm King 1976
6. Tappan Zee 1977
7. Night Crawler 1977
8. Angela (Theme From "Taxi") 1978
9. Touchdown 1978
10. Kari w/ Earl Klugh 1979
11. Snowbird Fantasy 1980
12. Shamboozie 1982
13. Brighton By the Sea 1980

im not sure if i will like all these compositional stuff

if you like Jazzy stuff, more like trip hop, I would suggest these:

Tosca ; Suzuki ; deli 9
Peace Orchestra
Cinematic orchestra as mentionned above
Troublemakers; doubts & convictions... a must have
Kruder & Dorfmeister; K&D sessions; conversions; DJ KICKS (one of the best CD 's I own)
DePhazz

and that's only for starters...

and by the way, Kruder &DOrfmeiter split up to do other shit and became Tosca & peace orchestra and its all in the previous lits *tu*
