Looks like some kind of Asian variation of an MK2. It's definitely an MK2 Jetta. Front fenders and hoods are easy to update, the rear isn't. Everyone knows that Volkswagen is notorious for changing details like this to make the car appear more "with the times". It's probably Korea's version of a 1996 Jetta, which happens to be an MK2 with an "updated" front end. It would be the same idea as with the MK4 cabrio which is basically an MK3 chassis that has been fitted with MK4-look fenders, hood, lights and grill. That's why these parts bolt-up directly to an MK3.
