Hi all,

Help me decide which car. 2001-2003, manual transmission. For frequent daily short and medium trips. What car is most reliable? Forget about Sentra, Mazda 3/protoge and Echo, hate em.

What cars would you look at in the $6,000-10,000 range? Preferably 4 door.

Cars I have in mind: Lancer & Galant, Impreza & Legacy, Civic, Camry ... don't at all like the tercel echo corolla etc. Had a Lancer in the past, loved it (beat it up though) but want something else this time around (it's for business not for pleasure).

As long as it doesn't get less than 25mpg or so it's ok.

I heard they don't use the double wishbone setup anymore on civics as of 2003 ... if anyone reading this has experience with civics around these years, please give me your input/experience..

civic, affordable and reliable, same wit accord, but insurance is a bitch, even bigger bitch if ur still young

how reliable are subarus overall though? how much do they cost on average to maintain?

civic as of 2001 meaning they have no more wishbone as of 2001? is it that big of a deal?

insurance is not a problem, i am still young and i did a lot of stupid sh1t but i'm with a decent insurance company now, i'm 23 and a fully covered 2001 civic is $1200 per year .. not amazing but i can deal with that. im guessing all the other cars will be slightly lower or slightly higher.

not big on the VWs

not crazy about the altimas either ... thanks for the good input so far

I had a few civics: 93,96, 01,03,05...the 96-00 is the best body style.:)

In your choices for 6-10K the camry or civic would be the best in my opinion.

honestly dude go shop around , go to the dealerships n test drive the cars that peak ur interest n ur bufget , then when u like one u sign ur life away n thats it

dont buy from stealerships!

i'd personally go for the imprezza, then the camry, then a corolla..

but imprezza is the most impressive on the list

Impreza without a doubt. As reliable as anything on the road, you'll have the most fun driving it etc.
