MontrealRacing.com member Kevin “kevprelude” recently visited California and made a point to visit some landmarks seen in the original The Fast And The Furious movie. The movie had already been credited with creating millions of new modified vehicle fans but since the death of lead actor Paul Walker last year, the movie seems to have even more meaning for car enthusiasts.
Kevin managed to find the address of the home of Vin Diesel’s character Dominic Toretto in the movie. For the record it’s 722 E Kensington Rd, Los Angeles, CA 90026 if you want to check it out on Google Street View. The garage in the movie is fictional but the rest of the house is real.
Then he went looking for the Toretto’s market which is called Bob’s Market in real life and is located at 1000 Elysian Park Avenue in, Los Angeles. The photo with Toretto’s name is, of course, Photoshopped.
Finally, Kevin headed out to Neptune’s Net where Toretto and Walker’s character Brian O’Connor dined after smoking the black Ferrari in their Toyota Supra. The restaurant is located at 42505 Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu.
Kevin didn’t limit his sightseeing to just the Fast & Furious either. He saw Doc Brown’s manion from the 1985 movie Back To The Future and the smashed “Eleanor” Mustang form the original Gone in 60 Seconds movie at the Petersen Automotive Museum.
