Would've been nice if they shifted the layout more towards their FR HSV super gt machine.

La NSX originale était loin d'avoir un moteur exotique aussi. Honda ont jamais rien fait de plus gros qu'un V6 3.5L alors attendez vous pas a voir un V12 twin turbo la dedans.
Honda has confirmed that it will be competing in Japan’s Super GT series in 2014 using a version of the all-new NSX, a car that has just been spied running its first shakedown laps.
Little is known about the new race car, which will replace the HSV-010 GT in the series, other than the fact it will compete in the top-tier GT500 class and should then make around 500 hp.
While not visible in this photo, the writing on the side of the car reads NSX-GT Concept.
Have they not been running NSX "concepts" in different classes for ever now?
On October 23, 2009, Honda officially announced the end of the mid-engine NSX Super GT's participation in Super GT racing due to new Super GT regulations that allowed the use of only front engine, rear drive cars. On November 15, 2009, Honda announced that, despite withdrawing the NSX from Super GT competition, it would campaign a car for the 2010 season. Honda revealed that the car will be based on the cancelled 'New NSX' production vehicle. It is reported that although the Super GT normally requires racing vehicles to be based on production cars, the use of a production-ready car is also allowed.[SUP][2][/SUP][SUP][3][/SUP]
Then, on December 22, 2009, Honda announced the HSV-010 GT as the successor to the NSX Super GT in the Super GT series. Unlike typical Super GT cars, the vehicle is not based on any production vehicle that is made available to purchase by the general public. Although no road versions were built, the HSV-010 GT was superseded by the hybrid-electric 2015 Acura NSX, as 2013 Super GT season being the final year for the vehicle.

The V8 is being readied for an all-new Acura flagship, an insider source says, adding that behind the scenes, Honda has secretly laid down the plans for a completely fresh range of cars -- using all-new, rear-drive architecture -- specifically to target the BMW 3, 5 and 7 Series.
The program reportedly still is at the basic planning stage. But following Honda's current new-model development schedule, the V8 would debut in an Acura flagship sedan targeted at the 7 Series and debuting in 2015.

Look at this. Apparently Honda will have a prototype competing in the Super GT Series in 2014 before the car is even available which is a bit surprising.

Don't they make a 3.7l version in the TL Type-S AWD?
Either way the engine may not be exotic, but NSX engine have always proven to be bullet-proof; thats always been the NSX strongest selling point: supercar capability with lower-that-average maintenance costs & over-average durability, i.e. a daily driveable 'supercar'...
my bad, 3.7 then. Not a whole lot bigger![]()
