How much for a new Key ??

I was wondering how much it was to get a new key for my 2000 Jetta. I know they are pretty expensive but how much exactly ??

i called, and its about 250$!

yeah but I wanted to know if anyone has any ideas of how much at the dealer and if there is another way to get somewhere else. Thanks for the info for the 250$. I got a quote at my dealer for 160$... too expensive IMO..

The remote (flip). Not the vallet key.
