It is expected that the 2011 Toyota Sienna will be available in the showroom in February next year. This new edition will be available in five new offerings base, LE, SE, XLE, and Limited Trim. The base and the LE editions will be powered by 2.7 liter four cylinder engine that generates 187 horsepower. The other trims would sport a 3.5 liter V6 engine that would generate 266 horsepower. This 3.5 liter engine would be available as an option in the base and LE trim. The Sienna edition would feature a six speed automatic transmission. The AWD system will be available on the LE V6 edition, XLE and Limited trim. The SE edition is designed with 19 inch wheels, unique trim and a sport suspension. It is basically designed to cater to all those buyers who prefer a sporty minivan. Sienna has roomy interiors and can comfortably seat seven or eight passengers. The third row seats flips forward to make space for holding sport utilities. This new edition will be equipped with dual screen DVD system and a camera to offer all sides view to the driver. Overall the 2011 Toyota Sienna has very subtle styling that has been borrowed from the Venza crossover.

Commentary: If you had to buy one, would this be at the top of the list? Looks pretty good to me but up to $48,380 for the fully equipped one and it makes for a nice hole in the wallet for a vehicle you'll never look cool in. Guess that's the price of a family.

Buy a used 5 series wagon or A6 Avant for that price...looks better, drives better and fits 5.

The premium wagon don't have much room in the rear, especially for the center place as the seats are "shaped" for only 2.

Dont get me wrong, euro wagons are great and I would love to rock a Audi S6 Avant or even a Volvo, but once you have more than one or two little ones a five passenger vehicle gets real crampt real quickly ........

Sienna's are the cream dela cream of the mini van market, but with the price of 48g's they are a little out of my league for a mommy-wagon....... my off-lease Chevy suits my budget fine as a third vehicle for the mo ;)
If wanted something new as my only vehicle, honestly I think the Mazda 5 would be parked in my drive!

Couldn't have said it better myself. I'd even consider a V70 or Legacy Wagon.

Actually you did twice (lol) but did you ever sit three abreast in one ????

or tried to fit a car seat in one yet .........

(the Volvo did used to have a neat baby seat option though, which is great if you have just one youngster)

The mazda 5 really isn't roomy for a family of 5 as you must put a kid in the the trunk (and these place can accomodate just a small kid also) and then get just half a trunk. I certainly prefere cars like honda frv or fiat multipla, that offer 6 seats like the mazda 5, with a full trunk (shorter, but "higher") and an overall smaller car, so easier to park. Also, I don't like the concept so much, but ford could have make the tourneo connect 7 seats for us, like in europe.

yeah I realize it's not the roomiest of the multi-segments, but they are still more practical than your average 5 passenger wagon, and my kids are still small so the third row is not a problem for them, as for storage when travelling ...I only over-night travel as a family about a handfull of times a year,so on those occasions a roof mounted cargo box (big-mac) work good for the extra baggage .

It's also prolly the sportiest "mini-van" on the market and really a blast to drive..........

no dude, i'd get a mazda 5 black, slammed with an air ride on monster offset deep dishes.

En France le renault espace top of the line coute 70 000$...
