Over there, I was fortunate enough to meet Alois Ruf himself. He is truly a great guy and arranged that I get a full tour of the shop.
The place is incredible and left me speechless... They do everything from selling spare parts, to restoring classics (I saw the #18 901 almost completed there!), to making cars from scratch (CTR3). I took some pics but was asked to not post any online. The following video does however give a clear idea of exactly the same type of tour I got:
Before leaving Mr. Ruf asked if there was anything else he could do for me. I said that last two things that would really make my day would be a picture with him, and if he could sign the door sills I bought. He gladly did both.
