Just came back from TRAC dyno !

Numbers are not bad considering that its not built for N/A (8.0:1 compression, camshaft grind for turbo, stock exhaust manifold which is very restrictive !!) and we did not go over 5200 rpm because they wanted a gear ratio near 1 (4th) and my 110mph speed limited kicked in !

111 whp @ ~4800 rpm
115 wtq

Considering the stock engine is
120hp
130tq !

I'm happy !

In the low end, not that much, but its above 4500rpm that its a different world ! I'm curious to see that since the cam was designed to reach about 7250rpm how much it would pull above what we see here ! Damn speed governer ! The stock exhaust manifold is also a big problem.
 
i see the dyno goes down to -20hp ?????

why is that?


and i always wondered is there a minimum HP to start a reading ?

i think that represents a gears change, and the loss shown on the graph is the dyno back driving the car rather then the other way around.


Not to bad results........get that turbo!
 
I wonder what that would run with normal compression pistons because 111hp at the wheels is not too much. Obviously I understand that it's being built for a turbo setup so it's not the end result yet.
Just for fun, my 998cc motorbike makes 141hp at the wheel! :)

Considering that the one dyno I found of a stock 2.2L OHV from a 96 model made 94 whp, it ain't that bad ! Going to at least my stock redline (6100rpm) would also help see if I make more power up high !
 
question comme ca? pkoi prendre le moteur de base de la sunfire? pkoi pas celui de la GT ou encore le fameux ecotec?

Plusieurs disent que c'est dla merde ce moteur? (2,2 ohv) :dunno:
