They are very good filters but because they are oil based sometimes there is issues with the MAF's

yeah I'm getting fault codes in my car because of this...but I just need to clean my filter (or buy a new one) and clean my MAF sensor. should do the trick.

I have a K&N on my Passat and it works fine. You won't notice much of a difference though.

ITG panel filters are better because they won't screw with your MAF

AFE also has some dry filter drop in, much better for your MAF.

The OEM Mann/Mahle filters offer better filtration and when changed often the same flow however. On a 2.0t, the airbox is the restriction not the filter.

That is very true, maf's dont like oil and i've always used k&n, gonna do some reserch about these itg dry filter.

ITG filters are very good and they come with eurosport cold air sytems, Aem also makes dry filters that are of great quality i had on my 1.8t no problems what so ever
