Mk5 gti, quel choisir? Tsi vs Fsi

Je suis sur le marché pour acheter une gti mk5 et je suis tombé sur une 2009 et donc Tsi, extrêmement propre et bien entretenue mais qui a quand même beaucoup de milage pour son âge, toutefois le propriétaire m'asssure que c'est 90% d'autoroute (avec preuves à l'appui).
D'un autre côté, je vois des 2007 Fsi qui ont moins de kilométrage et qui sont 2-3000$ moins chères, le tsi vaut-il la peine de payer plus cher? Même question milage?

Le TSI est la version améliorée du FSI. Un des gros problèmes du 2.0T FSI est le cam follower.

The TSI will cost you way less in upgrades !

ex: the fueling system on the TSI can hold up to 400HP without any fueling upgrades, if you upgrade to stage 2 a DP is required, K04 will cost way less then an FSI kit etc !!
FSI : anything beyond stage 1+ requires HPFP, K04 requires injectors as well etc ..

Conclusion, no doubt TSI is the way to go !

I regret my choice going for the FSI because as said above you can slap on a k04 for a lot less money.
 
Fsi si tu veux avoir des problemes comme moi et gossé a toutes les semaines su ton char ... sinon tsi :banghead:

FSI:

Responds better to mods. (20psi spikes on stage 2, slightly bigger turbo than the TSI)
Burns a sufficient amount of oil
Timing belt
Problems with cam follower (Easy fix)
Problems with PCV (Easy fix)

TSI:

Burns less oil but still burns
Chain driven and not timing belt
More accurate timing due to chains
Better fueling system
 
isn't it TSI more expensive than FSI ?

Obviously yes, they are in the newer VAG models...!!!

Also, the maintenance on the TSI is cheaper overall due to the re-design...!!!

I own one since summer 2010 and I changed 2 coilpacks ONLY.....!!! Nothing breaks on this car...! It's solid...!

Agree with you except that cam follower can blow up your cam shaft+ fuel pump... It could be a pain in the ass... That's my story lol
