It's playing right now... not some crappy low-budget movie, the production is really nicely done, I just thought it was some other city in north america... took me about 30 mins. before I realized it was Montreal! And I'm not talking about 1 or 2 scenes too. They use a *lot* of Montreal in the whole movie... you see the 520, Ville Marie, the met, downtown places like rue NotreDame, Palais des Congres, the Bonevanture, squeege kids, that park in front of rue Peel, other parts of Mtl like The Plateau, St-Michel area, etc. Never seen so much of Montreal in a movie before... they are filming outside pretty much all the time (for example, Bad Cop Bon Cop showed very little of Montreal because most of it was indoors). I think it's a movie about road rage between two chicks :D One of the chicks drives a red Civic with our plates, what a way to represent!

Last Exit (HD)

Saturday, Dec. 13 at 8pm ET

A portrait of two women pushed to the edge on a searing summer day.

Against a gritty urban landscape, the film shows that the last exit is the last straw.

Directed by John Fawcett (The Boy's Club, Ginger Snaps) Last Exit reveals stress-filled lives to which we can all relate and the dangers to which such lives can lead.

Last Exit follows a single day in the lives of Beth Welland and Diana Burke, two mothers following two seemingly different paths. Beth (Kathleen Robertson) is a single mother to Benji, a young boy confined to a wheelchair and their cramped apartment overlooking an expressway. Beth seems to take it all in stride, while a growing desperation lurks beneath her sunny disposition. For Diana (Andrea Roth), a married mother of two with a highly successful career in advertising, life is all about keeping everybody else happy amidst the growing anxiety that she may be in over her head.

In the oppressive heat of an urban summer, the lives of these two women have violently collided. As police officers race to their uncertain rescue, parallel flashbacks gradually bring the shards of a shattered puzzle back into focus, providing truthful, if deeply unsettling, causes for the tragic effects.

Last Exit tells an all-too-familiar story of urban stress, overburdened lives, unrealistic expectations and lurking rage. As genuine concerns and petty frustrations blend into increasingly volatile emotions, one otherwise gentle mother expresses her anger on the freeway. What ensues will change both women, together with the people they love, completely and for the rest of their lives.

Hahaha, now I remember where the crazy road rage chick was from (the one driving the shitbox Red Civic.. in the whole movie she has to leave it running all day because the starter is broken... you literally see her park it on Rene Levesque and she put the club on the wheel so no one will steal it!!!), she was Scary Movie2 chick that had sex with the ghost hahaha that movie was so funny.

I know this Montreal movie wasn't Fast and Furious, but you don't really see Montreal used SOOO much in one whole film.

So was Montreal filling in for LA, New York or Washington?

They filmed a lot of the "The Jackal" here in Montreal during the summer of 97 and actually didn't use the city as a back drop the same goes for "The whole nine yards"

The only Hollywood movie I've seen where they film in Montreal and actually say it's Montreal is The Score with De Niro and Norton.

Amazing movie.

:dunno:
