2 schools of though:
-Change your oil before winter storage so that contaminated oil doesn't stay in the oil pan and damage engine part over time.
-Change your oil after winter storage so you can start with fresh oil and so the new oil didn't broke down and got humidity mixed in over the course of winter.
I don't want to change it before and after, I feel I would just waste synth oil. My question is this, would it be a good idea to just drain the oil and change the filter before storage, THEN put new oil before startup after winter? Wouldn't be the best of both worlds without wasting an oil change?
Thanks for your though.
