A few days ago I was invited out to the Shannonville racetrack which is a few hours outside of Toronto for some shake down runs of Dave Briggs new 350z. Dave has been running a S14 in the DMCC series and many American Pro Am events for a few years. With the step up to Formula D it was also time to step up the ride.

My day started out at 4am when I had to get up and make my way to my buddy Kevins place to then make the 3.5 hour ride to the track. We were both pretty excited to see this car run since we have both followed the build up since the start. When we first got to the track it there was a lack of sound.. We then saw the 350z limping back into the pits..Turns out a little mechanical issue put a pause on the testing. It was not a huge deal and while the crew worked on the car I was able to take the the time to get a good look of the car.

Dave was taking it easy while his crew got the car back into running order..

But he got bored of that and decided to take his dads car for a little spin on track..

By the time Dave came back into the pits the car was pretty much good to go. Just hearing that Nascar V8 start up was insane! With that Dave and his crew official started their test session.. With the first round of FD fast approaching they want to get the car dialed in as fast as they can.

I was amazed with how much smoke the Falkens were producing.

The Shannonville race track is pretty cool because of all the different lay outs that are available..Dave was able to try the car in a few different track set ups to see how the car would react.

This was pretty much the first time Dave was really driving the car and near the end of the day he was getting some crazy angle.

That made his crew chief happy..lol

Check out the vid shot by Kev..

With some more seat time Dave will be pretty much set for the first round of Formula D in Long Beach..and it seems like I will be following them there..so it should be good!

Thanks

Very nice work! Thanks for the pics. Looks like Shannonville keeps their track plowed so that they can open early.

heard this on the dyno, it's loud as fuck like it should be :)

but wtf is up with the 4x4 height? A drift car should be lower then this...

Explication SVP !

Thanks
