It was gone off Tesla site on Saturday Am. The program was funded until the next budget but no way of passing a top up. We have no gov currently

Manufactures will offer rebates.

Tesla just priced the Model 3 out of the iZEV program, what a stupid decision. They should've at least surfed the wave until the program was killed in March.

MSRP went from 54 990$ to 55 990$ effective from Saturday I believe.

Model 3 sales will dip for sure.

odd still listed and they would crater sales. The holding lot near us is full

List is clearly not up to date as this happened over the week-end.

Tesla removed the program from their website as they know they don't quality anymore (over 55K$ MSRP base model).

I guess the holding lot near you will stay full for a little longer.

I really expected the base 3 to be under 50k in Canada by now…. Like 49990$

As per official government website the program was officialy paused as of yesterday, wow

Situation is extremely chaotic for dealers, not sure how we went from 71M$ available on Friday to 0$ on Sunday.

Should spread in the news pretty soon.

Well current gov has never been good at calculating… unless they are trying to rework the program with threat of tariffs coming in

Spoke to a friend at a manufacture (not dealer actual OE) and it completely caught them off guard. No warning whatsoever.

Same here.
Just got an email about it.
Everyone is caught by surprise. It wasn't supposed to be until March.

The confusion must be crazy right now on top of cancelled deliveries.

The mismanagement on the federal level is crazy, they announced that they were to kill the program on March 31st or earlier last Friday, yet they announce that the program is done 48H after...how is that even possible ?

I'm curious to see if some manufacturers will react in some ways to save the pending transactions and move vehicles.

Any smart buyer will postpone their EV purchase to later this summer when we'll learn if programs are resuming or not.

We currently have no actual gov in place…. Ottawa is a mess currently

Friday- We are good until March
Monday- We have no money

We went from almost 72M$ available on Friday to 0$ on Monday.

Is there any loophole with the program that some dealers used to draw this crazy amount over the week-end ? There's no way more than 14 000 EVs were sold & plated during the week-end in Canada.

On Jan. 13, the ZEV Council sent out another message to its members: “Due to an unprecedented volume of requests received following the announcement on Friday, January 10th, the iZEV Program funds have now been fully committed.” The fund had $71.8 million as of Jan. 10 — enough for roughly 14,360 more battery-electric vehicle rebates.

No clue. My friends are saying they were completely caught off guard at the manufacture level. No warning

I am strongly suspecting its a move in preparation for tariffs or opening market to Chinese manufacturers next few weeks. As crazy as it sounds. Another possibility is to be on equal terms with USA as Trump is expected to can the 7500$ on day 1

Manufacturers should immediately swallow the pill and reduce their MSRPs by at least 4000$ to compensate for the iZEV loss, secure pending transactions and continue surfing this EV sales wave while it can last.
