question to those that quit smoking/ smoke

lately, ill have cravings for cigarettes
but when i finally get one, ill be smoking it and be like.. wtf i dont want to smoke this... but i always finish it and whatever
then ill want another one, then when im smoking, ill be like... wtf mate i dont want a cig and get sick of the taste/smell
so yeah... wtf mate? :dunno: :dunno:
 
I quit in September.. after 2 years of smoking.. problem was, I still enjoyed smoking while getting loaded. So I stopped going to clubs and bars for a few weeks to avoid the temptation..

I eventually quit.. and began to have a few cigs when I was out boozing up, and I've been smoking about 5-10 cigs every friday or saturday night since November.. I still get cravings like those early morning ones, but its easy to control..

Just quit cold turkey.. don't have a smoke for a few months.. once you break the habit, you can have a few when you want.. just avoid buying them. What I do is pay a friend a few bucks and take a few.. or find a dep that sells singles.. I got one not too far from my house.
 
You crave it partly because of the nicotine levels in your blood. Once they drop, you crave it. Also it's a habit. But because it's nasty, you hate it and wanna stop.
 
i was thinkin this exact same thing today.. then i bought a pack.

i usually crave the smoke right up untill the first few hauls... then its durty and i wanna stop.

i think it would help if everyone around me stops too..

i was having a beer today and wanted a cig bad..
as you said, took a few hauls then wanted to stop

i quit smoking cigarettes on a weekly basis for 2 good months, but i was still smoking cigars to the rate of smoking cigs. I find cigs to be a complementary good next to alcohol or coffee, so whether i'm having one or the other, I tend to light one up. I've already cut down on smoking, I consume a pack per week and that's on the weekend. Plus, Quitting is for losers !!

I quit cold turkey 1+yr ago...it's hard. I miss the feeling but the smell makes me gag now. I had mad cravings at the beginning, but I didin't give in because I said to myself: " If you cheat, it was all for nothing". Don't try to rationalize taking a haul or having "just one", you cannot cheat...not even once. It takes will power.
 
I quit for 1 month and a half and then restarted. I used to smoke half a pack a day and now I am holding at like 4-5 a day, still too much but better then before
