SMCC Economy Run - 8 juin - faut battre 3.1L/100km - Charlemagne, QC

This will be the 4th modern SMCC Economy Run. We've improved on the result each year, this year we need to beat 3.1L/100km!

Le parcours est tres amusant a conduire et ce n'est pas evident comment rouler economique. L'evenement attire du monde des E-U, et de l'Ontario et des voitures pas mal modifiees. C'est a voir !

This year I'll make a shortcut so that electric cars can participate. The normal route is 198km, the electric will be a bit more than half of that, to be specified soon.

Oui, en effet c'est facile pour les voitures electriques a participer cette annee sur un circuit de 132km et avec des bornes de recharge au depart/fin. Plutot de mesurer l'essence consomme, on mesure l'energie consomme.

FYI, our Economy Run participants include people who have competed in world-class racing events from drag, to rally, to ice racing. Some come from out of province every year because they enjoy the drive and the challenge so much. And it has attracted vehicles with some seriously head-turning aero-mods. It's not for everyone, but I don't think lame is an appropriate description, especially on a tuning and autosport forum. ;)

Bump! The Economy Run is on Saturday.

Looks like we'll have a Honda Fit EV coming up from NY to compete in the electric category. Any challengers with EVs?

Doesn't look like it'll rain much during the event, but the roads might be a bit wet. Always fun when you inflate to max sidewall!

vous devriez faire des classe tel que 4 cylindre,6 cylindre,v8 sa attirait plus de monde !
mais bonne event quand meme cest original!

Il y a des classes informelles, par exemple le gang de Club Smart se battent 450 vs. 451. N'hesite pas a inviter des amis qui ont le meme char ou moteur pour comparer entre vous memes.

I launch the challenge for someone to beat me in the JDM class! Or the 20v class! 4.69L/100km is my best on this route. ;)

Yet again, we managed to beat the previous year's record. And for the first time, it goes to a Diesel!

Unfortunately, the Echo with all the bodywork got lost, otherwise they would have been podium candidates too. The bar is set even higher for next year!
