what was that car doing going the wrong way? or is it more like banging gears on public back roads?

Damnit! I'll be in Quebec for work this Saturday. Either way though I'm not sure I'd want to take my Z on gravel roads. Might have done it with my Civic though, lol.

This is a TSD/navigation rally: open public roads, average speeds respect the speed limits, penalties at controls for lateness and earliness (have a peek at the tutorial)

How bad are the roads?

As you can see from the video, I ran the route a few weeks back on 45 profile S.Drives. A little slippy on the gravel, but no more abusive than driving on Quebec asphalt roads. Road conditions shouldn't hold anyone back from participating.

A samedi !

I'm more concerned about the car itself than the tires. Would you bring a brand new car on these roads?

Sure. It's no different than driving on good gravel roads on a normal evening. The car will get dirty, but you don't have to worry much about rocks getting kicked up, etc. I've seen people tape up the hood of their new STI, but that's totally unnecessary for this kind of rally.

Dernier bump !

C'est ce soir.

Lots of teams signed up, including many novices. If you've always wanted to rally but didn't know where to start, this is where to start: $40, smooth wet slippy backroads and a bunch of like-minded people having fun in everything from beaters to STIs.

Vous pouvez simplement vous presenter et s'inscrire au depart: Resto St-Hubert Bromont @ 18h.
