News: Spoon testing parts for the CR-Z

Why is it funny?
It's an hybrid. Its not a race car, it's not a drag car or a pure sports car. It's an hybrid with sporty feeling, that's it. You guys know that you dont need 350 whp to have a sporty feeling, right?

Why bother then? just wear running shoes and call it a day.

Honda FAIL, what a waste of development, they should have built a new s2000 with all that money spent.
 
Think the CR-Z is slow? Do like Smokey and put a turbo on it!

Gas engines is not really in anymore, to follow the green trend they have to be able to offer a compromise.

The first V8's would make ±165hp now you have some crate engine V8 that pull 600whp. Give them time they have to start somewhere.
 
spoon was laughed about back in the 80's with the ea-t civics they campagined in only took one race to shut the haters up. they vwent on to dominate most enduro events for those who dont know

i have a feeling ppl will eat their shorts when spoon/hks/top secret are done with their demo cars

the crz IS HUGE in japan and rightfully so its the new generation of sports car and if anybody knows how to make a tiny motor gone fast its them no if and or buts!

seriously the crz is a natural evolution props should be givien to honda for what they have accomplished

i hear rumors that hks crx demo is actualy dirty quick with their infamous mini turbo kit .............just like the first small turbo kits for the 1st gen crx ......... cicra 1985 ish

ppl joked about civics in the 90's at the dragstrip for bein fwd sissy cars.............well we all know sissy fwds have broken the 9sec barrier all motor....and haters will always be ther thats what pushed the whole HONDA COMMUNITY forward...to evolve and improve

i for one LOVE the idea behind the crx........would i luv to see one k-powered....of course!!!!!

but its already old news in the land of the rising sun

id buy one in a heartbeat the gt model in white with all the options its only 27k euro in europe!i just cheked the honda website man what a car for the money!

You guys seem to have forget that Spoon has barely started to work on their CRZ demo car. If they want to, I'm sure they can make it into a full fledge race car...
Lets just wait and see what they'll be up to in the next couple of months...then maybe you guys will be free to talk shit all you want.

Ronin I only have one thing to say. I really don't understand why the fuck u paid over 30 000k for a fucking hyundai. And dont forget hyundai is like honda but flying in the wind.

Don't wanna be bad but this cr-z spoon looks sicker than all the genesis ive could see ;)
 
They should call it Geneshit even with a turbo it sucks like pamela anderson

Chuck norris wouldn't approuve this shit. At a tv show someone ask him, he came down with wich car he said a genesis but he had to walk half the road cause the car was stock down. Might be some turbo problems he said.

Why did you have to go there?

Honda has no answer to the Genesis, period. Your CR-Z is far from it, even with a costly engine overhaul from Spoon.

It's a great little car, it's main focus is sportyness with efficiency in mind. It's not a sports car, it's not even a sporty car, it only has slightly sportyness traits in its body design. It has a weak engine, poor tires, FWD and soft suspension.

Seriously? You're shooting too high there buddy, it'll fall right back on your face.

False. The CRZ feels light, has 6 speed gearbox, handling has a sharper edge turn and sporty response too. It is based on the Jazz/GE platform for driving fun (go-kart feeling). It still remains an hybrid after all but a fun one to drive. And with very little tweak to the suspension I'm sure you can make it 100 times better.
