With increasingly persistent rumors, Toyota will take advantage of January’s North American International Auto Show in Detroit to unveil its new Supra concept. It will be powerful sports coupe that could rival the Nissan GT-R.

D’ailleurs, entre les années 1979 et 2002, la Toyota Supra était la principale rivale de la Nissan Skyline japonaise, aujourd’hui appelée GT-R.

German newspaper Focus.de reports on a BMW Z5 that is said to share the same platform as the iconic Toyota Supra.
Last year, BMW and Toyota corporations announced a new partnership to expand their existing cooperation on EV battery R&D. The joint efforts will also include a future cooperation on fuel cells, powertrain electrification, CFRP production, and BMW-Toyota Sports Car. The Bavarians are said to benefit from the Japanese hybrid technology while Toyota will get to use some of BMW’s knowledge in diesel engines.
The co-built sports cars aim to bring a powerful successor to the BMW Z4 as well as to the Toyota Supra. From Japan comes support in the areas of electronics and hybridization while the engines will come from BMW.

Make a reliable I6, slap on turbos and toss it into the car. Why is this so hard to do? I hate all this hybrid shit.

It's funny that Toyota is making more interesting cars now, but only through joint ventures. First, Subaru now BMW! it's kind of cool, but it takes 2 car companies to go after the GT-R...
 
If it's to rival with the GT-R, the amount of R&D since the early 2000's musta been quite a lot. forget a car under a 100K. Nissan had the R32-33-34-350Z to gain tech from and infos. Now toyota basically has to build a supercar from the ground up. Maybe that's why the joint venture....

Kia, Hyundai et volvo sont encore moins connectés, avec une seule "connection" par marque. Honda a deux "connections".

Y'a juste trois groupes qui ne sont pas du tout connectés. Paccar (camions), hafel (?) et l'autre en haut à droite de hafel (??)
