I have received a PM yesterday asking for the exact location of the car but did not hear back from the member yet. He needed parts.

I wrote to him again today, so if he doesn't want to go through the hassle then I will tell the kickstarter owner exactly where the car is and he can take it over from there, go on location and try to get in contact with the owner whose summer house is close to the car.
 
Alright, it's too far from him so he's gonna let it go.

Restoring a car is rarely worth it financially speaking.

You do it because you want to and because you can.....
 
I dont think restoring it would be worth it... But we can slap in a nice V8 !
I cant post the kickstarter until we have a budget, which will be determined by what ppl are willing to give away or not...

Lets start with 5 grand? If this thing kicks off we can get MANY views, sponsors would be great. MR ??

5k should be enough to buy it, drag it out, clean it up, change the brakes and get it to start if it's not hydrolocked. The rest of the money could go for a back window and maybe a nice drop. I wouldn't swap a V8 in there if it's gonna throw the exquisite weight balance off.

Keep in mind the transmission in at the back of the car. An engine swap is a hell of a project for a car we don't even know if whoever owns it is willing to sell it, if it's not a stolen ghost resurfacing.

My problem is I live far from there, it's not even sure if I'll go back anytime this year, and it's on a private property so I'm not going to post the address here.

I know full well most MR members are not fucking crooks but it's not my car, and it's not rotting on my lawn but if something serious starts taking shape then yeah we need to get a hold of the guy and see if he wants to part with it but I won't drive back there just to see if he's home.

It's in the Lachute area, west of Mirabel.

Moi après avoir vérifier le VIN, si tu veux rendre ton projet kickstarter plus intéressant, ajoute donc quelque chose du genre en haut de 500$, you take a 5km spin in it !
 
50$ tu vas te ramasser avec des milliers de personnes qui vont se réclamer un tour .. Quelque chose de plus sérieux que 50$, disons 250$ ?
 
Paint looks like it mgiht be salvageable to a certain point, I'm down to work on it if this really does become an MR project!
