What did you do to your VW/Audi today?

So my haldex isnt working. Noticed my ESP light flashing while passing people “at slower speeds” in the rain and when doing launches. Pretty much spins 1, 2 and 3.

Did change the fluid and cleaned the screen in the haldex pump plus blowing compressed air thru the haldex housing. Screen wasnt so gunked up but did see more sludge come out when i blew air thru the haldex housing.

Hooked up a booster pack to pump and it runs.

Could possibly be a bad haldex controller.

Also removed half the front bump stops and car rides so much smoother.

Monday I made a quick 15min trip(each way to the store)…got home and realized i purchased the wrong thing so decided to go back right away(in the A6)
Halfway on my way back the car goes into a sort of limp mode and is overheating.
Pull over and pop the hood, coolant level is fine …let it cool down a bit and finished my errands.

Honestly had no patience to deal with it so i didn't touch or even have to drive the car up to today.

Scanned with vagcom at lunch time and got 2codes for each cooling fan. Turns out both 40amp fuses blew(seems to happen to many people with the c7 platform when running a/c for some reason)
I had noticed my a/c wasn't that cold and would blow hot when I would stop.

Ordered new fuses which will be here on Monday from my local vw dealer (also fuck Audi west island).gonna be rolling no fans until then I guess

Also I finally found a hardtop for my e36, went and picked it up in Toronto this weekend with my buddy. Getting a small dent pulled from the top tomorrow(removed all the headliner since it is sagging, will have to redo it)
I cleaned and sealed the soft top yesterday with some 303products before installing the hardtop.
The car is basically ready, getting the paint corrected this weekend and it will be ready to roll.

I know im late here..but did you try doing output tests on vagcom?

I know its not the same gen obviously, but with my bora doing the output tests helped a lot in diagnosing the non-fuctionning haldex.

Look into RSnav..seems similar to your australian website...idk if they offer anything for the touareg though.

Une tablette 8-10" LTE avec android auto pis un forfait donné cheap. Connect ca bluetooth sur ton head unit et met ca avec un support de qq'sorte sur le dash, done.

Doubt it since its the fuse for each fan that blew. I did not diagnose any further, but i am going to guess its a sort of fluke and there was some sort of surge maybe? Seems to have happened to multiple people on the audi forums and they just changed the fuse and kept trucking along. Plus i have the air ride that is added to the equation also.

I ordered extras so if this happens again I will make sure to look deeper into it(have a lot going on and dont really have the time/patience for this right now)

Probably going to be taking out the e36 on sunday for the first time and probably use it for most of my local trips around the area to try to keep the miles down on the Audi also.

Well power surge don't just come randomly on a sunny day lol. If the fuse blew something is drawing amps.

Oh trust me i know, but i am going to go the easy route and just replace them for now just for the simple fact that i see this beeing a normal occurence with multiple owners that replace them and still dont have issues 12months later.
When i see that i tell myself its not worth spending extra time investigating.

Also I received my replacement door handle puddle LEDs today.
Backstory: When i got the car in fall of 2020, the driver front door led was burnt..i purchased a replacement one from the dealer for 125$(expensive af for a led and a coupke wires, but hey i just got the car and wanted it fixed asap.)

Fast forward about 1 year and in january i notice the driver side rear handle led is burnt...annoying but whatever ill order another...forget about it and 2 weeks later i notice the driver side front is burnt AGAIN...????

Made sure to double check and do output tests with vagcom...disassembled the led and realised the very poor sealant job left a hole for moisture to get inside and burn the led

The attached pictures show the water buildup inside the unit alonelg with the hole where they missed the silicone(the black dot where the wire isnt covered)

Ended up finding a complete set of 4 leds on aliexpress for less than the price of one...ill be installing them soon(at first glance the silicone job is 100x better)20220309_191024.jpg20220309_190957.jpg
